Hi,

I have a KLE 500 2015 Model and the carbs are giving me such problems. Ive rebuilt them totally and still the bike wont run right. Soon as I blast in carb cleaner as it starting it roars into life. Ready to give up and sell it.

Question is will a a carburetor from a 1997 KLE 500 model fit my 2005 KLE 500? this appears to be the only solution left to try

Thanks
Andy

Just to update as no replys.

I bought a 1997 carb and it is a direct fit for the existing one :pjy . only difference is minor that the right hand carb has a rubber bung cover over the pipe on the top of the carb mouth that fits into the engine side, its easily pulled off to fit the pipe on that's req.

Hi Andy, just joined the forum. I have a 2007 kle 500, been stood for a while so carbs had to come off. all cleaned and back on, would start and run the die. double check carbs again, left and right mains jets are different sizes ( see parts cataloge). all correct still have problem. checked on forums and found I had miss routed the carb breather pipe it was getting trapped every time I put the saddle back on. rerouted it and been fine ever since.
Hope this may help.
Les
