Hi,

I know I am a newbie too but I have been and still am an advanced engineer for more years than I care to mention.

Please don't buy a pattern part or secondhand caliper bolt from Ebay or some other source.

As with anything that is safety only ever use the part suplied as original, i.e. Buy the bolt from a Kawasaki supplier.

Along time ago I was investigating a horrific accident that had almost caused the death of the driver, the cause of the crash was attributed to the N/S/F brake caliper bolt shearing. Yep you guessed it, it wasn't the original part a similar looking part imported from the far end of the globe that doesn't have any safety standards in production.

The thought of this happening on a bike scares me.

Hope this helps.
