Hi Gary, They did begin to import full power bikes around that time, but I'm not sure if yours is derestricted. The difference between the carb tops is that the 125bhp models have thinner tops than the models that have the full power. The thinner tops didn't allow the slides to lift fully, thus restricting the power. To derestrict the 125bhp models, you need the carb tops from the ZXR750H1. These allow the slides to lift fully. I'll stand corrected, but for some reason I don't think you can use the tops from the ZXR750H2. Don't know why, it's just something in the back of my mind. As I say, I'll gladly stand corrected on that. Mine is a C2 model I've owned from new, and the restricted carb tops have a dome shape on top of them (I've still got them) and the derestricted tops are flat. The part number for the full lift tops is 14041-1100 (yes, I've still got the bags they came in, too ).I also believe you can machine the restricted tops to give full lift, but as the others were available when I derestricted it, I didn't need to go down that route. Hope this helps. Regards, Gary. |
