For my 1992 KLE500 I have just bought a new side-stand "safety switch" to replace a broken one (because I need this to get bike registered). Although the switch is good, the bike will still start with the stand down (and the switch depressed). Power is cut off at this point - but the motor still starts. Any suggestions to solve this problem? thanks |

I'm not sure what you mean, the engine shoud start with the sidestand down - IN NEUTRAL, it should cut out when you put it into gear with the sidestand down. If you can explain the fault a bit better I'll see if I can suss it for you. Si |

Si - you were right. I hadnt tried putting it in gear. Didnt know how the cut-out was supposed to work. Thanks and sorry about my slow reply. Do you know where I can get a manual in pdf or on a CD - for this KLE500 1992 model? cheers peps |
