I have a 1998 ZX6R and want to buy a slip on exhaust. I really was thinking about Getting Micron Exhaust, just cause they have cool colors. It will make my bike alot sharper. But I also want like a raspy, and a little bit of a deeper sound. Not too deep though, cause I don't want it sounding like a Harley, Any other ideas, or inputs? |

Not sure how one would sound on the 1998 but I've just put an Oval Blueflame Evo on mine. The sound is quite deep and obviously louder but still reasonable. I bought the single exit, just because I prefered it, but they do a dual exit which has two removable baffles which you can remove/replace to tune the sound to what you want. They say you don't need to have the bike tuned after fitting them but I found mine was cutting out on idle and needed the carbs re-balancing. Can't gaurentee the power increases they quote will be correct but throttle reponse through the revs and gears is noticably increased. Hope this helps. |

I put a 4 to 1 Muzzy on my 2005 Z1000 and love the looks and sound. It needed to be re-mapped, but that was a breeze. I highly recommend Muzzy.
