hi has anyone suffered problems with 4 th gear jumping out on rolling off the throttle. i have suffered this twice in quick succession where it disengages then re engages 2nd.Been told it could very expensive!! Any ideas?

Not had that sort of problem on any of the bikes I've ridden, ever. I'm not sure which model of kwak you ride either, so I don't know if other owners have had the same problem either. Only thing I can think of that might cause this sort of problem is a bent selector forks, and yes it will be vry expensive if you have to get a profesional to fix it..... Engine out, bottom end strip ... find fault and replace, very time consuming. Si |

zx9r c2 uk bike.only happened twice,my mate(headcase)took bike out and found no problems,he rides like a loon! bike feels like it hits neutral but give it a second or two and it returns. think i ve been sold a pup!!! |

Thanx for the e mail, it is possaple the dog drive got damaged, but it isn't easy to know for sure without taking the machine apart. it's unlikely to be the gear cog it's self or the selector forks, as it you say it only happens on 4th gear. If it was my own machine, I'd strip it and see what damage I could see. I know who you use for parts and I know they are good & fast they are for spares. one good bit of advice for you.... don't lend yer bike, or do like the rest of us do when borrowing someone elses machine... the rule we live by is.... if you borrow my bike & IF YOU BREAK IT YOU FIX IT!
