Is it possible to check/adjust the tension of the cam chain on my 1982 Z1000 LTD? Thanks Iain. |

I've not got the same machine as you (can't find micro fische fer yours either), but if the cam chain adjuster is the same as my '86 RX1000 then cam chain adjustment is only done when the engine is re built, after that the chain should automaticly adjust itself after that. If it's rattly, then it's possable that the chain need replacing, or the cam chain guides are worn and need replacing. Hope that answers your question Si |
