I've got an ER6F. Today it went in for a service so I got an ER6N to play with for the afternoon. For the record, I think the ER6N is one ugly bike. Other than looks I honestly didn't think there would be much difference between the 2, but the naked bike felt lighter and more responsive than my faired version. It was so much more fun & rewarding to ride in the twisties. BUT, on the motorway the lack of fairing really made 70+ uncomfortable. In the unlikely event that someone reading this is trying to choose between an ER6 with a fairing or one without, I suggest you think about what you're getting the bike for... If you're going to to ride for fun on weekends then forget the fairing and get the ER6N. If you're planning serious mileage & commuting then the ER6F is the better option. Did I mention that the ER6N is ugly? Coz it is. |

On this side of the Pond, we don't get to choose. Its faired or nothing. I guess you can call the Versys our N style bike, but thats really not exactly right. |

i agree some with that. i rode a demo er6n and yeah it felt fast and light compared to the er6f i bought. the fairing makes it feel like you are going slower but probably the speeds are the same you are just kept out the wind blast that bit more. the er6f is a cracking small twin bike, i enjoyed mine. could have done with firmer front springs though.. |

Couldn't agree more mate, the n is fantastic for country roads but painful on the motorway. It is an ugly bike (my girlfriend has named mine Goofy) but to be honest you don't really care when your on it. |

Swap the stock light unit and the ER6n becomes far more agreeable to the eye in my opinion... |

You will only find a bike is ugly when you are looking at it.When you're riding it you're not looking at it,ergo you won't find it ugly!(or something!) |

I agree with Monkeyseemonkeydo - a traditional round single headlight would tidy-up the front of the ER6N no end ! Kawasakifreak. |

As a follow-up... My F got nicked. Full insurance payout and now I've got an N. I just close my eyes when I get off it. |

I must be the odd one out because I think the ER6n in orange is a nice looking bike but I have always had odd taste
