Hi Another new member here. Just bought myself a ZZR1200. My first Kawazaki :) Should be delivered next week. Took me a few years but I finaly persuaded the other half that we needed to get another Bike. I think it was the promise of a few trips to france in the summer that swung it for me. Anyone know the best place for panniers (that should say "cheap" panniers ) So apologies beforehand as i am sure i will be asking for lots of bits of advice on a fairly regular basis Regards Joey |

Hi thanks for the welcome I have had a look at ebay. As I am not sure if the touring is going to be a regular thing i wasnt sure whether to buy some "soft" panniers first (the bike already has a givi top box) as they are cheaper. My only concern is that from the photo's it looks as though at least one of the straps goes over the rear of the seat. Has anyone used this sort of setup and would this make it uncomfortable for the pillion rider ? Thanks for your help Joey |

JOEY DI'D GO FOR THE SOFT PANNIERS. THERE ARE LOTS TO CHOOSE FROM,SO YOU'D BE BEST TO LOOK AT THEM AND ASK IF YOU COULD SEE HOW THEY FIT ON THE BIKE. SOME OF THEM ARE DESIGNED SO THAT THE STRAPS GO UNDER THE SEAT. |

You could place a get seat over the straps

Well at long last my baby was delivered today There was a bit of delay while they waited for a fuel tap to be delivered but all sorted now. They also stuck a new back tyre on which they didnt have to as it was still legal so that was quite good of them. Only problem was I couldnt take it for a spin as it came just before i had to take a load up to Leicester, so i thought i would give it a quick run when i got back tonight........except it appears to there is a monsoon / huricane hitting exeter :( Nevermind, there is always tomorrow Joey |
