Hello redneck

Yes you can remove the baffles from your exhaust :zrx but with any modification to any exhaust system you will change the characteristics thus changing the back pressure and yes it will be louder :599

You could try it without the part to see what it is like, Modified exhausts can sound real nice, got a nice loud one that is also acts as 'audioble warning device of my approach' to other vehicles (or thats what i say to the police?). :999

Your lucky to still have the original silencers mate. Mine disintegrated a long time ago.
The Zephyr I'll be putting back on the road soon, is going to have a Laser K2 stainless system, with a race end can. I had this on a previous bike and it is nice and LOUD.
On a previous Zephyr I had a Harris 4-1 with a race baffle. Unfortunately I didn't put enough wadding in it, which meant it was not only very loud, but the back pressure was all wrong. I ended up putting a hole in 2 pistons. :256
