EVENIN ALL AFTER MUCH FUN AND RECKLESSNESS IM THINKING OF UPING MY BIKE FROM AN F MODEL ZX6R TO A ZX7R! WHAT DO YOU THINK AND HOW DO THEY COMPARE??

MINES GOT A SCORPION CAN K&N AND DYNOJETED AND HAS BEEN ROLLED AT 123.8 BHP SO I KNOW MINES RAPID FOR WHAT IT IS SO I DONT REALLY WANT A SLOWER BIKE OR SOMETHING OF THE SAME SPEED. FASTER IS ALWAYS BETTER!

IT GOES LIKE STINK AND CAN PLAY WITH BIKES MUCH BIGGER THAN MINE BUT I JUST LOVE THE LOOK OF THE 7'S.

ADVISE PLEASE PEOPLE SHOULD I KEEP MINE OR GO FOR THE 7.

ALSO TO TEST THE WATER IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO MAKE AN OFFER FOR MINE THERES LOADS O SPEC AN STUFF IN THE PICS FORUM. PS IT NOW HAS BRAIDED HOSES TO AND A NEW MOT TODAY WITH 11 MONTHS TAX!

ALL HELP GRATEFULLY RECIEVED.

hi ninjafish, wow how differant do you want it. small and light to big and heavy (not to much bigger and heavier though),the zx7r is a good bike when it's been jeted and given an exhaust can, i would try to get s shot off one to see if you gel to it, just because they are so differant, i for one really like the zx7r :kbv

Hi,
ZX7R's can be tuned to about 125 bhp at the back wheel and still keep their reliabilty & rideablilty - the ZX7R's extra torque will make fast riding easier than on the ZX6R.
I can't yet compare handling between my 1995 FZR600R (which isn't miles different in handling to your ZX6R) with my ZX7R because I bought the 7R as a project which has yet to turn a wheel in anger.
But I'd say my FZR turns quickish (on BT010 tyres) but wanders around a bit over the ton - from what I've read I'm expecting my ZX7R to be a lot more stable and give reasonably quick turning once I've modded the rear suspension & front forks !
I say keep your 6R & buy a 7R aswell !

hi my friend just go out and get one you will love it i have the p4 and its one of the best bikes ive had and i have had quite a few you are sitting down in it and not on top like the other bikes as the other guy sad there is presure on your wrists because of the position but you soon get used to it or you can ajust the position of the bars a bit to suite your self :kawa

Hi Ninjafish,

I have tried the 6r and It felt like an angry wasp to me (my opinion & no disrespect), I ended up with the 7r and trust me the ride is perfect, you do need to be at least 5"10 tho as it is quite a long reach to the bars however you have them set, far better in the turns and the response to the throttle is fantastic, try it you'll love it.

Best of Luck, at the end of the day it's personal choice and preference.
