hi new to here but i do have a problem with my bike its a zx9r b4 and the exhurst headers have started getting red hot and i mean glowing doze anyone no what could cause this and how i can fix it thankyou |

how long has the bike been doing this? have you looked at the coolant, air filter, plugs, is it a standerd exhaust? just some points to start with.

Daz, It's possible that the thing is running really lean, get it on a rolling road and check the fuelling 180pete

thankyou i have checked the bike it not running lean carbs all seem fine and balanced the e xhaust is a full race system cheers

The ignition is not adjustable, it's controlled by the CDI unit. Stock pipes are often double skinned, race pipes are single skin and can glow red at night. It's normal. |
