kwik hi all
i've just got my hands on a 2005 zx10r and would very much like to make it a little less of a track animal and a little more suited to our great british road conditions. i'm a light weight and way a little over 10 stone in my riding gear.any suspension settings that anyone could recomend to tame this beast would be much appreciated. im also a great fan of fast bikes magazine were they have a 2008 10r as a long termer. they recomend just fitting a gpr stabilizer, but i'm unsure as to wether or not this would be the only thing i would need to do to tame the bike without adjusting any suspension settings. any advise please

The only thing to tame a 10 is your right wrist :P
Only being 10 stone is a big disadvantage on a bike of this magnitude. I would have thought a 636 or the likes would have been better for you. I'm 12 stone and the 636 flies with me on it, and before I stiffened the rear preload would shake its head in 1st & 2nd
A pal of mine has just bought an 06 model and has bought a GPR damper from the states. Hasn't fitted it yet, but has read good reviews on it.
Good luck either way

gpr stabaliser's are an excellent bit of kit. fitted one to the bike and it's made a world of difference.no longer shakes it's head under hard accelleration altough that wasn't the main problem. the worst thing was the weaving when you put the front wheel back down (f@*kin scary moments), but that to has been sorted with the damper.you recomend a 600 due to my weight or indeed lack of it but after having litre bikes (r1, blades, gixxers)for the past 5 or 6 years im not realy looking to go back down even though 600's are heaps more fun and a lot better to get along with.P,S don't think padrosa, rossy and a like would agree that being light weights is any kind of problem in fact it seems to be totaly the opposite the lighter the better
