I have just fitted my 57 Z750 with a aero style engine protector but was not happy with the instructions inside. They were ok ish for the off side of the bike, where they say tighten until you feel restriction then add 1/4 turn. This I assume is becuase there is a spring behind that particular mounting bolt. But for the other side, no such advice. Its all very logical, but hey when its your pride and joy, and you start fiddling with mounting bolts, things start to bother you..R&G have not responded to my plea for help. Thanks...
I also ftted theit tail tidy but found that the hole adapters for mini indicators do not fit the entire hole and also the holes for the number plate and rear light were inline. This meant that the number plate light had to be fitted onto the number plate its self. Again R&G failed to respond.
If anyone is actualy thinking of spending a little extra to get quality gear, may I suggesr=t that you try the cheaper way first as the expected quality brands are not always what you think.
Other R&G probs. Bar end protectors squeeze the handle bar rubbers up to a pear shape. Cotton reels dont fit flush a s spacer to big. Carbon engine cob=ver has bubbles in it. :256
Im sure there are many happy customers out there, but I think with a little personal touch hear and there these problems could be smoothed over.Ignorance is not what you expect..

I am really surprised that you have this problem with the tail tidy, I have one on my 07 Z750 and found no problems, although I have left the standard indicators on.
Only because I was knocked off my last bike by a blind driver who said they hadnt seen me indicate.
Have you managed to fit them now, and did you have to remove much at the front end to fit them?

I removed the fron fairing to get to the wiring plugs.I then used plug adapters so that I did not interfear with the original wiring.
To fit the rear tidy ( Like you,my old Z750 had no probs). I removed the back end and again used adapters for the wiring. The mini indicaters are the latest ones from Oxford, called Eyeshot. They are advertised as being 1000 Candles of light and optimised by the latest honeycomb lens technology. And I like ology's... :D
They certainly seem bright to me. If you look at the ( pics ) section I have posted some before and after snaps..

Hi there jonjak and all you other kwak fans,am new to this forum and have only just registered today although i have visited as a guest on numerous other occasions and i like wot i see.I am the proud owner of an 07 Z750 which i purchased back in september last year and so far i have to say that i,m lovin it,lovin it lovin it @ (WOT A MAD LOOKIN BIKE) and as for the power, well its more than enough for me at the moment given the fact that i jumped straight onto this from a 125 which i still use as my daily commute.Anyway now that i,ve introduced myself i just wanted to agree with you,re comments about the R&G tail-tidy because i too had the same problem @ because the N/P light has to be fixed on top of the N/P itself the tiny bolts aren,t really long enough and i could just about get the nuts on the back so wot i did to ensure that they don,t vibe loose and end up with the light flapping about in the wind behind me was to put a blobb of silicone over said bolt-ends,JOB DONE.Interesting wot you,ve said about the crash bungs too because those are another of my upgrade considerations,oh well thanx for posting all of those views and hope to speak to soon........

Thanks for your comments Foxy. I sometimes wonder about crash bungs, I mean who actually benifits from them. They are not the prettiest of things. You do not get any insurance discount for having them. And in the un-likely hood that you do have a spill, it only means less pay-out for the insurance. Mmm !
Anyway enjoy your wheels and take it one step ata a time. Please keep posting on the forums as some people come and go cos the lack of replies to their postings.
