hi all,im a zephyr owner from just outside glasgow.Ive had my 550 for 2 yrs now but its not ran for 18 mths.Im in the process of getting it back on the road now,done the usual oil and fliter change as well as new air filter and spark plugs and leads not to mention a new battery.Had it fired up but it was leaking fuel from the carbs and they are in bits on my dining table as im waiting for new o rings and float valves b4 i put them back on the bike."The zephyr zone" is an excellent site if u are doing ur own maintenance,lots of "how to" instructions annd useful tips.Heres hoping it passes its MOT first time,cant wait to get riding again |

Hi to all zephyr 550 owners ! new to the site although I've had my old bike (1992) for about 3 years now. I live in tadcaster, north yorkshire and wondered if there are any fellow owners in this part of the country ? I mainly go to mag rallys but have done a little bit of touring too. I have a few friends with bikes but none with kowy's and could do with a bit of help with maintainance/repairs. |

Hi dave Im mugs from Bham just bought my zephyr 550 five days ago, brill little bike it seems OK its done 30,000 and its oridgenal apart from goodridge b/hoses cant beleive it. ITS IMACULATE. I have,nt ridden a bike for about 15 years... my last bikes were a few rd 250s suzy gs750 & 850 gsx1100 and my last was an xs 1100 big & heavy thing. sold it to a chap who came up from the smoke !!!!! all i can say is since i,ve bought the zephyr its rained EVERY DAY never mind...seee yaaaaa.....

i have 2 zephyr 550s one is just for spares the other was a £35 ebay bargain have done loads to it 17 inch rear wheel usd front forks better brakes sprayed it purple and gave it to the girlfriend 1 zephyr 750 that i got for £200 ripped it apart for spares not much left now and a zephyr 1100 that i got last Saturday for me

i picked one up saturday 2nd october almost mint condition 92 with only 14,600 miles think the cam tensioner needs ajusting or does it do it automatically? also a small leak in one fork seal. getting insurance to day.........

 Hi karl i also have a 91 b2 in red its for sale at the moment in the trader section they are a nice well ballanced bike to ride hope you have lots of fun with yours

Hi folks, I recently bought a Zephyr 550 in Germany with 11000 miles on the clock. I collected it from Hamburg as I live 200 miles further north in Denmark. The only issue with it was rust in the tank but that is now sorted out. The bike is so much fun to ride and my 12 year old son has warned me off messing with it because I think he wants it when he is older. The bike is in excellent condition and runs like a swiss watch(for now). It reminds me of my old Z650 but alot better. I need to find a left hand side air box cover/side panel, new or used,anyone got one for sale or know where I can get one,(tried fleabay).
