Ignition Coil?

I left my ignition on when I went away on holiday (I was distracted), I know have a flat battery, what other damage have I done?
Someone said that my coil would have been damaged is this true?

possibly your coil and cdi unit , charge your battery and find out by seein if it runs

CDI unit is a new one on me.
My battery should be charged by tomorrow, and I shall see what happens.

I put the battery back on, and my bike fired up after a couple of tries, so all is good. :711
