You ain't kidding, lol, my mate has had his z750 seat gel filled, by lics, he says it is a bit better, but i don't want to pay £150 for a bit better, baglux do replacement seats, but it ain't gonna be cheap, im off to the TT in june, so i gotta do something.

only cheap fix is to tape a lump of foam to it or maybe get a tame doctor to give you a jab of something numbing mind you could always put a bag of gravel on the seat even that would be an improvement lol |

I will get the Mrs to beat the cr*p out of my a** with a cricket bat, lol, if I was a politican I would pay a lot for that up west, lol I think I will get a price off of baglux for a custom seat or seats with gel pads (bliss) I am told they also do a one piece seat and if my backside is not too sore, I'll sit down for the price

I had an old seat from a Suzi gsxf (like an armchair for comfort) & cut & taped the foam on .I've seen prettier but 500 miles through France I didn't care about the looks .Try Digger seats in Newport Gwent if you've got the cash. Or buy a Harley !!

Why so negative about Harleys? My Grandad had one & was happy with it in 1935 so why change a good thing ?? |

Thing is, buy a new one and it is still 1935 engineering, lol I like the look of the buell lightening, but build quality is supposed to be a bit naff, I love the zed, when your in top it is like a twist and go, nice grunt, just the seat is sooooo baaaaad.

I really think Kawasaki should do something about the Z1000/Z750 seat. I have never read any tests or owner reviews where it wasn't mentioned. |

I have taken my seat to saxon seats, in christchurch, who are going to fit gel pads and use the original covering, for £60, mate of mine had his done by lics, cost £150 !!!! he was really helpful, he cant do a lot to the pillion seat, as it is so thin, and will spoil the ass end of the bike. should have it back on wednesday, so will let you all know how it is. |

If you think Z Thous are uncomfortable try riding a KDX125 for 100 miles, it's the seat from Hell. Dunno about being s*****d by a pack of bears more like every animal on the Serengeti having it's way with you ! Regards to all, Dick. |

lol, thats a long thin seat on those bad boys, must be like sitting on a razor blade. I have taken my bike out with the new seat, and first impressions is that is it better, rode for about 1.5 hrs, and felt ok, dont think it will cure "numb bum" compleatly but will certainly let you sit on the beast for longer, seat feels much softer, Was down at the dealer in Bristol yesterday, as the zed was due service, they seemed impressed with the seat, and want the address of saxon seats, i also took the time to look at the other seats in the show room, and the kwackers all seem to have much harder seats compared to other makes. I am off to the isle of man in june for the tt, and have a epic ride to haysham, so will be a good test, will probably get out this week end and give it a bit longer in the saddle, will report back. place is; Saxon Seats Ltd Unit 14 Seavixen Industrial Estate Wilverley Road Christchurch Dorset BH23 3RU 01202 488 866 email : info@saxonseats.co.uk Prices are on the web site, or speak to Adam, top geezers tone |

Well, I have had the gel seat for a while now, it is much better than the oe, does not cure "numb bum" compleatly, but took it to Heysham, from bristol, 200 miles to get the ferry to the tt, and was ok, means you can sit on for longer than half hour, and for £60, dont break the bank. happy days z1000
