My 1998 g1 with 18000 miles on the clock has developed a very slight knock or thud from the front end,its a slight knock when your riding and hit rough road or bumps but only a slight thud when depressing it stationary. Some people have said it needs new springs and an overhaul, some say the suspension is not set up right. Before i spend money on a rebuild i am gonna try setting it up right first. does anyone know the standard settings for this as i have checked few sites and have got different answers, there is no play on the head bearings or anywhere else on the front, can anyone help? |

I would also check for any play in the steering head bearings. |
