I've just phoned three local kawasaki dealers. I asked them for the price for a 7500 mile service. Two of the three quoted over £300 stating that the 7.5k service was the full bhuna. The other dealer said that P7F models onwards only require a full service at 16k and every service up to that is an iterim service. I phoned the other two dealers back and they both said that they had forgotten that the service intervals had been changed on the P7F models and it was in fact an interim service.

I would be on the look out for unscrupulous dealers who try and rip you off.

Regards

They are trying it on. Best bet is to find a reliable biker garage, hard to find but worth their weight in gold cause they will do the jobs necessary and charge an honest price. I was quoted £150 from my local mechanic including oil, filters & to check the plugs. Some of these main dealers are just after turnover & sometimes tick things that have not actually been done.

As for a 7.5k service my ZR750 is up for it but in my book all it is mostly just checking things. I do the oil & filters myself as well as the plugs. BTW oil is probably the one most important bit you have to really abide by its what will keep you machine alive. My bike will never see a main dealer again.

Good luck :azq
