| blowing fuses; KZ400 74 wiring | |

changed some bad wire to the rectifier now every time key is turned on it blows a fuse. Any suggestions on where to start? |

you have a short circuit somewhere , start looking at the wires you changed first

I'll keep looking. I have recently had the headlight off and installed an ignition switch. I may have to take a closer look at that again. |

You've definately got a short somewhere. Check the wiring behind the headlight, it's possible you've connected the switch wrongly. If that's OK, leave the fuse out, beg borrow or steal a multimeter. This should confirm a short. Now try disconnecting wires until short disapears. Easy, :wacko: |
