I'm looking at buying the z650 in the pic below, i can't find a price guide on a K reg or even one for sale to compare prices. i would really appreciate any help, i'm new and old to bikes, passed my test at 19 had a few bikes years ago but at 42 i'm looking to become one of them born again bikers that goes splat second trip out !!!!! the k reg z650 needs a new tank, new tyres and a bit of tlc i just have no idea what its worth.. cheers.. Its not a Z650 it looks like zepher 550 or 750 ?....

now you got me thinking Wizz. i was told its a z650 but so far only have the photo's, i'll arrange to see in in a few days. do i need frame and engine numbers to identify it. i would still like an idea on what its worth.. no tax or mot either |

hi , wizz is right its a zephyr not a 650 , in that condition its not worth much , at most £500 if it runs and is mot tested but that is unlikely as the forks look well rusty on the top pic , take someone who knows the way round a bike to check it over before you even think about buying it , probably worth not much more than £300 if it runs |

Just to add if it needs a new tank,then you'll have a helluva job finding a good one. Rocking horse poo springs to mind. |

If you are looking for a project to pass away the winter months I suppose it might be worth a punt.My guess is you'll need a fair amount of time/expertise/money though.Myself-I prefer to ride 'em than fettle 'em!Good luck either way.

Thanks for the comments guys.. i did alot of googling to find it is a zepher 550, i better check there's a log book as the owner thinks its a z650.. i want it as a project, so lots of tinkering and money spent is part of the fun, (not the money!!?) i will keep you all updated on the outcome..
