I have a 03ZRX1200R on layaway (I know but my credit sux) i was looking at it today and noticed the pipes on the bike are shiney with a muzzy muffler All the pics I can find of the 03's have a black pipe system.. with a shiney muffler I was wondering if the one I am buying has the full muzzy kit or just a slip on? I think I am getting a pretty good deal on but if it has the muzzy full kit thats even better.. I would think.. anyone know about what the bike is worth hope I am not getting ripped TY if you have any info

Hi, All pre-2005 ZRX1100/1200 bikes had black header & collector pipes made from mild steel. |

Modok1313 - you asked for more info. The ZRX has nearly tempted me but I went for the GPZ1100S in the end for the wind protection for touring. Anyway - the ZRX uses a detuned engine from the ZZR1100/1200 which was the fastest poduction bike in the world from 1990 to 1996. The ZRX deliberately copies styling from the Kawasaki Z1/Z900/Z1000/Z1R of the 1970's & early 1980's which is no bad thing. Many consider it the best-looking retro street bike which has plenty of real world performance to match. The later 1200 version has more mid-range torque for easier acceleration. Keep the bike clean - as with my GPZ - the finish is ok but can fade in colder climates if neglected. I could still be tempted one day ! |

I ride in a group of HD riders so im gonna stick out but they know me and dont really care what i ride funny thing is when they gave me my nickname I was riding my nighthawk650 and it has a drag fairing on it. long story short I am know to them know as The Toecutter (rember the first mad max bad guy) It only seems right to me that The Toecutter rides as close a bike to the old school kz1000 as I could find and for my budet the ZRX was it .. I really like the retro look OMG i cant wait to ride it she will be mine in 13 weeks
