Hi

I wondered if any Zephyr owners are members of the Zephyr Zone forum?
I have been trying to get in touch with any moderator on this site for a couple of weeks but cannot find anyway to get in touch with them. I have been trying to register but never get sent the authorisation e-mail. Anyone else had similar problems?
Unfortunately you have to be a member before you can contact anyone on there for help - catch 22!

Cheers
Cat

Hi Jamie :fff

The new site is listed at: http://www.hajobakker.com/zephyr-zone/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl

This one seems to work a bit better than the Zephyr-zone.com version and once you have joined will let you re login more successfully than the other address (I have no idea why!!)
Hopefully registration will be straight forward for you.
I never managed to receive the authoriation e-mail when I registered and couldn't find out who to contact. Eventually through trial and error I did manage to e-mail the moderator on: webmaster (at) zephyr-zone.com and got a reply. They then set up the e-mail I needed and that got me connected.
It is worth checking out if you have a Zephyr for specific parts and questions. The members seem pretty friendly too.
It isn't as well set up as this forum, by a long shot, but worth joining as well as due to its specific nature.

Perhaps see you on there?

Cheers
Cat

Hi, always liked the Zephyr and now would like to buy one for fun rides. Which model is best? I only have 29" inside leg so can't manage tall bikes. I currently ride a Yamaha Dragstar 1100 and a h***a VFR750 on high days and holid :991 ays and a Kawasaki ER500 for work. Can anybody help? :991

Are you in contact with him?

If you are, any chance you could ask him to do a mail out to members once it's back up?

Big ask I know but I miss/need it. :D

Ta. :)

Hi Tetralee :789

The Zephyr 550 is a great height and weight for a smaller rider. Although if you are used to a 750 you may prefer to go for this one instead. The 750 is heavier and has a different centre of gravity so a bit harder to handle - (not sure what other Zephyr riders think on this assessment?)
Best bet is to find some locally perhaps via e-bay to go look at. Have a sit on both bikes and get a feel for the size and weight of each. I doubt if your be allowed to test drive any, but I would definitely see a couple before you buy.
I have a 550 and it's a fantastic bike. More than enough power for me and they just look wicked.

Hey all - In regards to the Zephyr Zone, I keep checking most days so will post when it seems up and running again. I think we should carry on and hang out here as Wizz suggested. :546

Hi Bigzeph

I have contacted the webmaster and I gather he has had a bit of a nightmare. The forum has decided to disassociate itself with a number of members and I have been one of those. :256
The Webmaster has suggested that I re-register. If anyone is unable to login the same may have happened to you so I would suggest going through the registration process to get back in.

BTW - Wonderful weather for biking, hope you are all managing to get out and blow the dust off ped

Hi there

the link to the zephyr zone is now: http://www.zephyr-zone.com/

However....... just been today and an admin page is up, so there must still be problems. I haven't yet managed to re register as the number/letter box for copying wasn't working at the end of last week.
Has anyone actually managed to get back on the forum?

My carbs have decided to leak fuel since a 160mile run on Friday. So don't think I can go anywhere in this lovely weather this week until I get that fixed grrrrrr :lkl If anyones got any tips on what might be causing it would be cool. I guess they might need stripping and re balancing?

Hi all..

The usual Zephyr rally will be held at the same place this year. There will be a ride out on the Friday night. A grand ride in from H cafe Oxford on the Sat morning,. Usual fish n chip candlelight supper on Sat night.. . For those who have never been we piggy back the tomcc show but its open to ALL bikes so any one is welcome but the zephyrs have there own club tent and hospitality. (I'd best think about baking...) Most people arrive and camp Friday night or meet at H cafe Berinsfield on Sat morning and we will guide you into the show. Camping and full English available Sunday a.m. as well. There are good camping facilities.. bar, showers, music etc .. email hdhilarydavies@gmail.com for more info . see you there kiddywinks

We are also going to try and get addresses from previous years and send out flyers. but if you could spread the word..

Your not the only one H11 :256

There seems to be only a few of us who can enter the zone at the moment.
Virtually everyone else is shown as an ex-member???
I have sent a message to the forum admin about this problem , and will report back here as soon as he replies.

I'm back in, I had trouble logging on so requested my password again and logged on from the link in the email. Worth a try maybe.

The admin may have lost the zephyr-zone.com url hence the YaBB address.

Yep I'm back in too after re-registering.
Those verification codes are infuriating. It took me a fair few attempts to get it to accept it too. Keep trying Greenzeph
