GPZ Battery Replacement; How-To Battery

hello,

I just bought a 1995 gpz 1100 and the battery is going dead.....I don't see the battery under the seat....I don't have a manual yet for the bike so can anyone walk me through the process of replacing it??

yes I've taken the seat off and I do not see it there??

Hi, Not familiar with the GPZ model but if it's not under the seat does it have side panels under the front of the seat maybe under one of those?

Can you se the lead cables? Usually the positive has a red cap, the other should go to a ground connection, normally on the right lower crankcase (KZ750 engine)

Mines an old 1988 400 so dont know how different it may be, Take off the seat, look just behind the airbox under the tank securing bracket and the battery on mine lurks there, as a general rule for all bikes, it will be under the seat or behind a side pannel.

HI,WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IS REMOVE SIDE PANEL PLASTIC ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE.BUT FIRST REMOVE SEAT THEN GRAB RAIL TO REVEAL ALL THE SCREWS YOU NEED TO REMOVE.WITH THE SIDE PANEL OFF YOU WILL FIND THE BATTERY,STARTER SOLENOID AND REAR BRAKE RESEVOIR. HOPE THIS HELPS.
