towing bike without trailer; biketowin

I saw an add from stirrip.com about a front wheel tow with your back wheel down and not removin the belt?chain? is this ok or will it hurt the trans, the article sayes hes towed his yammy cruiser 2000 miles without any trouble. Is this a good idea?

hi i saw an add on ebay for a tow bar mounted carrier as i was going to deliver a scooter i thought this would be ok if its a bigger bike then im sure if it was safe to tow then the bike would cope i think the bars were tied to the structure somehow and then only the rear wheel was toughing the ground and im sure it was a german design looked ok to me and easier to store cheers Richard
