Thought I would say hi in the ladies forum as well! Passed my test at the beginning of the year, after a shaky start on my SV I traded it in for an ER6 and him indoors has the Z1000. He spends a lot of time going round roundabouts while i catch up to him! My friend also has an ER6 and we often take Saturday or Sunday mornings to go somewhere if she can offload (I mean arrange care for) the kids and our husbands haven't got in first for some plan or other on hair-brained schemes. Always looking for places to go - we are based in the East Midlands, near Corby and Stamford. |

I briefly had an er6 lovely bike but the call of a 4 cylinder (which i'm used to) would'nt go away so i went to a cbr600rr but it was the most uncomfortable thing i've ridden,so yesterday i picked up a z750r my better half had an sv he too hated it,so happy riding

Thanks Angel - I'm soooooo sorry to say I have no idea what that means or how many cylinders I have (doh) I have seen the 750 though and its purty. Him indoors is not loving the z1000 seat either - he says it's like someone carved it from mahogany, then varnished it with super hardening varnish...but I hope he will go to the touring version of it this summer to slow him down....I'm telling hime the seat is just sooo luffly! |

Cool! I'll try and remember - but in reality - my retention of these details is pants. I can't help it, I do tech stuff all day, him indoors literally does everything...I'm spoilt and OK with it I do like the ER - better than the SV, I like the riding position and it's a bit less aggressive. I am nervous right now though. There is a lot to be said for instinct and I had a hairy moment and that kept me the right way up, but with more experience I wouldn't have done what I did. Some pics for entertainment. Bec and I on matching ER6s (we are faired gals and I guess we didn't think of the implications of matching bikes being a bit sad!) http://www.flickr.com/photos/27939785@N03/5756194760/in/photostream Here is the crazy bonkers machine....I really don't think I will get to ride this and I'm pretty glad! Though he did consider it when it needed the first service - haha! http://www.flickr.com/photos/27939785@N03/5755670663/in/photostream/ And just for fun - the loved, but not forgotten YZF - many a gravity defying ride on this...it was his pride and joy, but after throwing the ER6 around for a while he decided he quite liked to see oncoming traffic. http://www.flickr.com/photos/27939785@N03/5755673165/in/photostream/ Last but not least his dirt bike, which is out daily and spends most of the winter up to the tank in muddy pools, it requires way to much effort to keep it in tip top shape for my liking. http://www.flickr.com/photos/27939785@N03/5755664931/in/photostream/ |
