Hi. my 99 zx6r has the carb problem which isnt exactly rare in the older ones where the choke plays up and getting it to warm up properly can be a bit of a pain in the "oops". ive seen a second hand carb for 50 quid and was thinking of buying it but i would want to fit it myself or it isnt worth the money because my bike does run fine, just when u cold start it with the choke the revs build and then it just dies after about 30 seconds and i have to leave it idleing with no choke to warm which obviosuly takes longer. i had the tank off the other day to fit a new fuel pump and i could see the carb but was just wondering if it would be easy to remove or not worth the hassle?? Thanks Edited by d1andonlyantman, Jun 21 2011, 11:26 PM.

Have you ever worked on the carbs on your bike before? Do you have about an hour of free time coming up soon? |
