I,ve also used silkolene 10/40 semi synthetic in a zx9 and other bikes ive owned without any problems,
i was advised not to use fully synthetic in the first 8,000 miles until engine fully run in

hey guys, thanks for the input but the problem showed itself when i took the clutch apart, whoever owned it before me put any old metal
clutch plates (too thin)in so the friction plates that were in got burnt to hell, just ordered genuine kawasaki friction plates, metal plates and springs for a bargain price.it makes me wonder how some people sleep tho, i would never mess with something i dont know about and risk someones life, or maybe im just too nice.
thanks again

quick update, fitted new plates and springs, used silkoline 10/40 semi oil as prescribed by some pros(yourselfs) and she rides great.
