Hello, I have 2 ltd 1000's...a 79 (mine) and 80 (Wifes). I'm thinking I have some carb issues with the 79 so for grins I started comparing the 79 carbs with the 80 (still on both bikes) and noticed the 80 has the vacuum sensor removed from the bottom of #2 carb. Is this okay? This bike also has a lot of popping when idling...throttle good and snappy, just popping. I know very little about the carbs with the accelerator pump. One other thing...the vacuum lines for the smog head that hook the the manifold ports. Do they hook to 1 and 4 or 2 and 3 manifolds? On the 79 they are hooked to 1 and 4, on the 80 they are hooked to 2 and 3. Wouldn't think it would matter but thought I should ask. Thanks Tim |
