hi i'm new to this forum but not new to z650s. I own a f-2 which i'v had for oooo 15 years, the rings are shot, i can't afford to buy oversized pistons and rings (if I could find them) I do have an engine from a 79 model which is supposed to be a good un,tho i've never heard it run. can i swap the electric start from the original to the 79 and put it in my bike? what other bits do I have to change. or would it be better to swap the top ends over? cylinders , pistons etc.???? |

Yes you could use the electric starter. For the most part the engines are identical. |
