I've allways mixed oils, brands and synthetic to mineral as whenever my bike has an oil change it never uses all of the container full, I usually buy whatever oil is on 'offer' so it means my type of oil often changes, and I'm not throwing away all the small quantities that are left over, I pour them into one container and when there is enough it becomes my next oil change, never had any ill effects from doing so and never noticed any difference in engine running either, I'm sure others might tell you different but remember some oil is beter than no oil

1Lt of castrol in mine and the rest is cheap stuff from tesco. Runs just fine. Only thing i notice is the tesco stuff does not seem to last as long. Its black after around 2000 miles but i still dont change it till 3000. Does not seem to burn which i thought it would being cheap.

Doesn't matter too much if some burns off what aslong its doing its job of protecting, its when it really burns off.
The reason it costs less as it doesn't have as much if any cleansing agents and anti fiction agents hince it will go black sooner.
The worst thing is to use the wrong grades of oil and level of oil in the engine.

The make does not matter as long as it is the same grade. If you have 10W40 or 5w30, stick with that grade.

The engine will have build up an oil film over time, which protects the engine. Mixing grade breaks that film, resulting in less protection for the engine.
