Just rebuilt my zzr1100 c1 1990 with a engine from fleebay, the bike ran fine to and from the mot station passed 1st time ran the bike around for about 60 miles and found it getting hard to select 1st gear when stopping, came home and found the slave cylinder leaking.fitted a new seal kit easy job and was pefect till the nxt day when i started the engine it made a horrible noise commin from the clutch case, took the cover off and i now have the clutch springs rubbing on the inner sound plate on the case. i have removed the complete clutch there is no play on the input shaft all the springs are withing tollerence as are the plates the bearings look good. So im lost, has anyone come across the same problem if so please help. its ashame to have it T&Tested and not able to ride it

check behind the clutch basket there is a thick washer its the first thing that goes back on when reassembling and sits next to the big bearing make sure that there is only 1 washer |
