I purchased a zx6r f2 in May.Love the bike and its been great, runs like a dream.Unfortunately it has developed a chronic misfire above 7-8000 revs.It still runs perfectly below 7000rpm.I did give the bike a good wash on the weekend. Is it something I have done? Can anyone please help me with this problem.Cheers. Matt

hi I cured the same misfire on my f3 by changing the baffle and getting the carbs balanced

Thanks for the suggestion but I am reasonably sure the problem is electrical.Bike still runs beautifully under 7-8000 revs. The problem was also immediate rather than a slow deterioration.

I think my problem might be a bit different. My misfire is so bad that when it starts to happen at 7-8000 revs it wont let the revs get any higher at all. Its almost like its resticted, the revs just hit a brick wall.
