Hi, I have recently bought a 2002 ZX9r FP1 ( the twin headlight model ). I am taking it to Holland as that is where I now live... Does anybody know if the headlight needs changing on this model for European riding? I have spoken to a Kawasaki dealer who tells me that most new bike have their headlights straight so they can be used all over Europe without the need for a change but he isn't sure about my year and model. Finally if they need to be changed, can they just be adjusted or do I need a complete assembly? Thanks |

You could just get the sticker for now to move the beam from right to left. Not sure if the dutch will pass this for the next MOT. I could find out as my mate works in Holland and is a mechanic in Holland and Germany who also do MOT's Where about in Holland are you? i am popping over in two weeks for a bike rally down the south. |

I live in Deventer... The bike is still registered in the UK but I have to change it as soon as possible as I need it to re register the bike in Holland.. If you could ask your friend that would be great. Thanks |

So it looks like you will need a Dutch MOT. You can still get the sticker and run it as a UK bike until the MOT is due then change over. This will give you time to get a new lamp. This is the rally i am going to http://www.mcdekleppenjagers.nl/ Its North west of Venlo. Looks about 80-100 miles from you if rallies are your thing. |
