Hi, Im thinking of getting some muffs as my poor little hands really suffer this time of the year! and I was wondering if anyone has any experience of them-do they make a difference-do they restrict the controls etc. I have an ER6F and I cant fit handguards.

Hi, I have some handle bar muffs for my 2002 ZX6R, they are great, keep the cold wind off my hands! they take a bit of getting use to thou and can restrict turning if not fitted correctly but I've had mine on for a week now and have adjusted them as the week has gone on. You do still have to wear winter gloves with them as they don't keep out all the cold just the wind chill. Matt |

Iv'e modified a pair of off road universal hand guards .They diflect the wind and mean I can ride out further in the cold weather without numb fingers. By reducing the thickness of the gloves I now wear the controlls are much easier to use. They do make manovering through narrow gaps slightly alkward but the benifits far out weigh the snags Well worth the effort .

Hi i regularly ride 75 miles each way to work and have done 14k since April, i put handle bar muffs on my 750 zepher at the and of October , they will stay on till its warmer and dryer, i think they have made a world of difference to me much warmer. i am still thinking of heated grips but i am not sure about messing with wiring and all that ? I have a universal pair I fit to whichever bike I'm riding and they're great. I get funny looks from people sometimes but it's worth it! |
