Hey,
I'm trying to find a transistor ignition for my 1981 kz200-A4 they're very hard to come by.
Does anyone know of a compatible transistor from another bike? or have any suggestions?
Cheers.

If you know what you're doing MAPLIN will sell all the bits you need to build one! I asked one of my kids teachers who was into electronics to build some bits for me a few years ago and he turned it into a project for a lunch time club.

Best of luck.

If your bike has the mechanical ignition advancer, perhaps this would work for you. The inventor has used the GM electronic ignition modules on his bike for many years:

If you're looking for a neat, complete electronic ignition kit have a look at my kit. It is a complete upgrade, controller, coils, plug wires and it eliminates the need for the mechanical advance unit.

You can email me at seventhgeardesigns@verizon.net for more details. And I do ship world wide.
