Ok folks, i had to go look at a collection of bikes for a friend of my girlfriend last night. she has 4 big zeds sat there, a early Z1000, plate was off it so i couldn't say year, but from what she says they liked to collect first year models of all variants. so I'm guessing mid 70s this is a rounded tank bike.. she has a T plate coffin tanked Z1000, a Z1000 LTD and a ZXR1200 this is the newest of the lot. all have between 20 and 30k miles on them and in average condition for there age, unrestored..she also has a loft full of new old stock parts, tanks, seats, exhausts, and other bits indicators etc. they were all running up till 18 month back, and I'm giving her a hand getting them going again, so basically clean carbs, tank, and fresh fuel, battery charged etc. There is also a early R6 yam. 2001 2002ish.. couldn't see plate. a Honda fire blade, a GS1000 79, and a GSXR1000. again a load of parts for them. she is looking to sell these bikes on at fair market values, she knows her stuff but isn't mechanically minded, and knows some of them are collected and the parts can be worth a few quid. I said i would put the word out on some forums I'm on to see if there is any interest. the bikes are in Aberdeen. if anybody is seriously interested leave me a pm with contact details, she dosent want to bother with ebay or advertising as she's in middle of a house move as well. these bikes would make fantastic projects for anyone into these bikes and she probably has all the parts to get them on the road with some elbow grease. the ZXR1200 is good to go, slap a mot on it and ride. the rest need cleaning and checking over.
