Hi all,

Not sure that this is the right place to post this but I've recently purchased a gpz500s. Love it!

I'm having a problem sourcing a mount for my iphone as I use this as a sat-nav. Could anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance :444

Think your problem is not having a straight bar from one end to the other so no spare area in the middle to attach a clamp mount. I tent to just put my sat nav in the tank bag map holder. You can buy just a magnetic map reader what also keeps your phone dry in crappy weather.

Cheers yeh the handlebars are the issue, look pretty similar to that Honda. Think I'll have to go down the magnetic bag route.
Thanks

You may also want to look at a power source from the bike. GPS drains the battery fast. I only got an hour when i was using my phone and the Sat nav is not much better at 1.5 hours. If you do put in a power source dont wire it with the ignition. A lot of sat nav software is designed to shut down when the power is cut. You get the option to say no but by the time you get the gloves of its to late. Its a pain when just stopping for fuel or a leg stretch.

You can get 'sat-nav bags' that are designed to sit over the head stock & are pretty universal, I've always been under the impression you can attach them any way, any how. They have packing to ensure the sat nav is held securely & I'm sure I saw one (Might be a newer one than below) that could carry an iPhone.

As for power, a cheap 12v socket is easily added, or there are now USB ones:

Like the 12v sockets, it's a direct-to-battery job. I've not got one myself, but a few people say they really like it.
