ZZR 1100 C2; Oil Light flickering on idle

I have a C2 which is garaged as I work away. I start her up and run her when im home.
Recently the oil light flickers on idle when the engine is up to temperature, I have changed the oil and filter 5W/40 fully synthetic, but still no joy.
The temperature gauge is mid way when warm and the oil light goes out when I rev her up.
I have recently changed the thermostat to see if it was an overheating problem but still the same.
The engine is not noisy and runs great.
The bike has done 21000 miles and I have had no trouble in the past.
Could it be the oil pressure switch faulty or maybe im using the wrong oil?
Any advice anyone? Cheers

could well be a sticky pressure switch, and that is the cheapest option to try out, replace it and see what happens
