1: Am I the only girl here who rides a medium displacement (650-900cc) bike? Mine's 750.
2: Am I the only girl here who rides a cruiser instead of a sport bike?
3: Am I the only girl here who does her own maintenance?
4: Am I the only girl here in north Georgia?
4.5: If not, once I get my cruiser back up and running, anybody wanna go for a ride up on the Dragon or the scenic route through the national forest near Helen?

I'm currently doing a tear down and rebuild of my bike, as it's a bit old, and doing it myself, ... Still, when it is fixed, I'd like to find people to ride with.

Hi Everyone,
I'm a complete beginner at this, so here goes...
I have inherited a 1986 400 Eliminator, haven't ridden since my teens and am going to do my CBT in the next few weeks in the hope that I will be able to ride instead of being a passenger for the last 30 odd years.
Having trouble finding a service manual though so it might take a bit longer to get her going again as she's been in a garage for the last 18 years.
I live in North East England and would love to get together with some other ladies.

Sorry for the delay... I've been caught up in the real world... I have a 1982 KZ750-H3. I did some more work on it today. Finally managed to fully assemble the airbox. It was... missing parts... lots of parts... I'm also sending the carbs off to Wired George for remanufacturing in early September. Also installed a sissy bar and replaced the seat pan. The old seat pan was rusted through on one part, and that kept it from holding on to a seat cover properly.

Also yeah I'm in the states... I like I said in the original post, I'm in north Georgia. that's US, not former Soviet Union.

I expect my bike to be running before Christmas, but I don't have the money to afford any heated gear, so I don't expect to be riding very much until spring. Still, that gives me plenty of time to relax and worry about tuning the bike, and repairing all the tiny little minor annoyances, like how the left blinker is painfully slow. Maybe I'll even find a machine shop that can make me some highway bars.

:445 Awesome. Good luck with the bike. I'm just getting into my rebuild. Bad news... #1 piston has a hole in it, so it looks like I'm doing an engine overhaul Good news... its a KZ750 engine on a ZN750 frame, so parts won't be a problem. :sqj Hopefully, I'll have it done by next summer, but $$ will be the deciding factor.

As you can see by the flag, I'm from the Great White North :285

Awww, sorry to hear that. Still, KZ750 engines are bullet proof and will last forever as long as you treat them with kindness and respect.

And yeah, you're in the land of maple and rocks and trees and trees and rocks and water... I live in (but am not from) the a state a part of deep south that if it didn't have Atlanta, it'd be Alabama. I grew up in Japan and am part Japanese. So to me, these aren't really foreign bikes, they're just bikes in a foreign land :)
