hi all.
I'm Col from Yorkshire, and I have a GPZ500s not really what one could call a big bike but it's big enough to put a smile on my face if it has been a bad day :444 .

bought it as a wreck last year and spent all winter doing a full tear down and re build. this winter I'm doing some upgrades and modifications to it. plus some of the stuff I should have done last winter.
will post a photo when it's back together, this is how it looks just now, work in progress, so to speak.

Hi Col and welcome in . Are you putting a SV shock on it ?it improves the handling no end also cut front springs and a spacer to firm them up ?

hi Tez, no mate, this time it is more cosmetic I did the fork mods last year took quite a while to get the right settings, and had a white spring SV shock on, but I found it a little too hard, it handled better but shook the teeth out on bumps as the sag was too small even on the lowest setting, I now run it on a GPZ305 shock bit softer but the right amount of sag with preload turned up,
also done the Mosfet regulator up grade, changing all the bulbs to LED's better camera on the back not happy with the exhausts just yet, and sorting out the luggage arrangement, tidying up the gen2 plastics for a better fit, that sort of thing.
Col.

Hello, welcome.

It has two wheels & an engine, as far as I'm concerned, as long as you're an enthusiast, it can have a 50cc two stroke. Plus, the GPZ500 is a bike that has a very good reputation, I seriously considered one before getting my current bike & no-one had a bad word to say against it.

Sounds like a pretty comprehensive job you're doing.
